TecsChange is busy preparing its largest single shipment of PCs to 3 Salvadoran hospitals, including ones in San Vicente and Chalatenango, two districts that bore the brunt of the sacrifices to democratize El Salvador in the 1980s and 90s. In an interview (see sound file, below), Jose Aleman Molina explained that this shipment contributes to justice for under-served communities and also supportive of a decentralization of his nation's health system. In an interesting twist, Aleman, now serving as El Salvador's Consul General in Boston, collaborated with TecsChange in the 1990s and was once unpacking TC-supplied computers back then.
