Directions to TecsChange workshop

We are an all volunteer organization. Our hours are a little bit unpredicable. We try to keep the following regular hours:

 

Directions to 46 Bennington Street East Boston. 

From the Ted Williams tunnel (I-90 East).
Go through the tunnel and stay to the left to avoid the airport and take Route 1-A North.
Take the first exit after the Airport labeled Bennington St,. Rt 145
Just before the bottom of the ramp take the U turn to take you back on 1-A South.  (There is a sign indicating it is the way to the airport.)

From Rt 1-A South
As you approach the airport, stay to the right and take the exit that takes you toward the Sumner Tunnel.
Stay all the way to the right (do not go through the toll booths) and proceed to the local street (Porter Street).
Go one short block until you see a red sign for La gran Manzana Restaurant and then take a right on Bennington St.

As you turn onto Bennington Street, you can see the steeple of a white church on the left
Before the church is a red brick building with a large mural on the side of the building.

From the Callahan Tunnel.
stay to the extreme right as you get out of the tunnel.  Take a right onto Porter St. and then a quick right on to Paris Street.  Take the first legal right onto Meridian Street and go down 3 short blocks to Bennington, where you will see the bright green sign for Oliveria's Steakhouse.

As you turn  to right onto Bennington Street, you can see the steeple of a white church on the left.  Before the church is a red brick building with a large mural on the side of the building.

Parking

There is a public parking lot on the side of the building by the mural.  This lot and the street parking is free but posted as limited to 2 hours during the day.   Some of the parking on Bennington St. is unlimited.  A little bit further away there are more unlimited spaces and also some spaces marked East Boston residents.   

By the T  (See map below)  It’s about a 0.6 mile, 10 minute walk or a short bus ride on the 114 (Bellingham Square, Chelsea) or 116 (Wonderland Station) Bus.

Take the blue line to Maverick Square.  Take Chelsea St. one block to Meridian St.  Go 4 blocks on Meridian until you come to Bennington St. on the right.  (There is a park and then the Liberty Mall with a big sign on the left.)  Take a right at Sony Notos onto Bennington.   A half a block up on the left is a parking lot with a big bluish El Salvador themed mural facing you.  

To find TecsChange, enter the door in the parking lot under the mural and the go to the waiting room on the right.  Go halfway into the room and look to the left.  There is a bright green sign for TecsChange at the top of the stairs.  Go downstairs and the first door on the left is our new office.
